Kudos for Space Flight Column

"Humanity Needs to Be in Space"
The current edition of the Northern City Journal is a real winner. We have enough forces at work, pulling people apart. We need something to unify us, some goal to reach for, something positive to achieve. While the "race for the moon" technically pitted country against country, it fired the imagination of the world and united us all in the desire to achieve this almost unimaginably difficult goal. And out of that competition actually came cooperation and sharing of technology and information.
I just finished the book, Last Man on the Moon, by Eugene Cernan. If you haven't read it, I'd definitely recommend it.
